Kiteboarding can best be described as a form of sailing in which one uses a large kite harnessed to the body in order ride across the water, snow, ice or land. It is a cross between many sports such as wakeboarding, surfing, sailing, snowboarding, parachuting and paragliding.

Sometimes the words are used interchangeably. “Kitesurfing” is more properly used to describe the act of kiteboarding with a surf style board in the waves. Most people get the point when using either word.

Yes. If the conditions are right and the instructor is comfortable with the condition or style of gear you have, it can be used in the lesson. There are no discounts for using your own gear but it is good to learn on what you will be using!

We are about 35 minutes to an hour or so depending where you are in Orlando. Average time to our shop is about 45 minutes. We are the closest beach to the Orlando Area!
